Bollinger B2 Electric Pickup Truck – The Future Of Recovery Trucks?
Bollinger B2, the followup to the B1 SUV, is an all-electric pickup truck powered by two electric motors and a 120 kWh battery pack that produce 520 hp and 514 lb-ft of torque. It’s capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds and topping out at 100 mph, with a 200-miles range on a single charge. When the battery is fully depleted, you can recharge it in just 75 minutes with a Level 3 DC fast charger or 10 hours with a Level 2 220V charger.
“Besides the electric powertrain, the B2 features an all-aluminum body with ‘patented pass-through doors for transporting long items.’ The model also has a hydropneumatic suspension and in-wheel portal gear hubs. The truck features a 69 inch (1.7 meter) long bed and a rear window that can be opened to haul longer items. In total, Bollinger says the B2 can accommodate up to 72 sheets of 4′ x 8′ plywood. The B2 is slated to go into production in 2020 and the company plans to announce pricing and options next year,” reports Car Scoops.
