Driver Shoots RO’s SXS Tire At Bank After Repo
GREEN CITY, Mo. — A truck repo resulted in a shot being fired outside the bank which carried the loan for the vehicle.
It happened around noon on Friday in front of farmbank (the way the corporation spells it) in Green City.
Sullivan County Sheriff Roger Smiley told KTVO that Jarman’s Tow and Recovery, of Unionville, had repossessed a pickup truck from Jesse Knowles, also of Unionville.
Witnesses told us that the tow truck, with the repossessed pickup on its flatbed, was parked outside the bank when the altercation happened.
The sheriff said Knowles approached the tow truck driver, Brian Jarman, 54, of Unionville, and a verbal confrontation took place.
Smiley said that Jarman ended up firing one shot from a handgun into the tire of the side-by-side Knowles was driving.
Following an investigation by the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, Jarman was arrested at 2:15 p.m. Friday on a pending charge that is likely going to be unlawful use of a weapon.
The suspect is currently in custody on 24-hour hold until a formal charge is filed.
The investigation into the incident continues.
As a precaution, farmbank closed its lobby for the rest of the day and conducted business through the drive-thru window.
