Female Agent Assaulted In PA
HANOVER TWP., Pa. – Police are looking for a man they say assaulted a woman and drove away after she and another agent tried to repossess his vehicle Sunday night.
Officers responded to the 1300 block of Orchard Lane in Hanover Township, Northampton County for a reported assault shortly after 10:30 p.m., the Colonial Regional Police Department said in a news release.
Two licensed repossession agents were at the house to repossess a vehicle when a woman tried to push past one of the agents and lock the vehicle doors, police said.
Andrew Bauman, 44, then came and grabbed one of the agents and threw her to the ground, injuring her right arm, according to the release. Bauman, the vehicle’s owner, and the woman got into the vehicle and drove away, police said.
The agent who was assaulted had to jump out of the vehicle’s way as Bauman drove away, police said.
The vehicle was last seen heading west on Orchard Lane towards Airport Road. Police were unable to find Bauman or the vehicle.
Police will charge Bauman with simple assault, reckless endangerment, harassment, criminal mischief, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
