NY RO Mangle 5-Series On Wheel Lift (Video)

Some people will do anything to avoid a repossession. A good example is the BMW driver in New York. He slams the sedan into reverse to try to escape the truck’s wheel lift despite the front wheels of the vehicle being lifted off the ground because he is so determined to stop the repo man from towing his 5-Series away. Unfortunately, even though the driver successfully reverses off the back of the truck, the front bumper of the 5-Series decides that it would be better to go along with the agent than flee with the rest of the vehicle. When the driver pulls back, the bumper is wrenched almost completely off and is only left hanging by a few mounting points on the driver’s side.

Observe how his young son has shifted to the back of the vehicle and is now in danger of being wedged between the unit and the driveway gate. We can’t tell how much danger the child is in, but the man filming appears to be in great distress, shouting, “Yo, you’re crushing your kid, bro!” It appears that if the BMW had backed up even further, we might have been looking at a sandwich made out of a seven-year-old.
