It appears that many collateral recovery agencies were caught by surprise by a moratorium placed on all accounts until after Columbus Day and not everyone is happy with a sudden hiatus.

“As most of you are already aware, Wells Fargo has a moratorium in place for the upcoming holiday. All of the accounts are already on hold. Please accept and be mindful of the moratorium in place until 12:01 AM EST on Monday, October 09, 2017.”

While surprised myself that a hold would be placed on accounts for a holiday such as Columbus Day, perhaps WF has a large client base that celebrates Columbus Day and actually know what month it occurs in?

Well, today I was reading some news and came across this from the TIME website:

Not all banks are closed on Columbus Day, but many are. Wells Fargo and Chase banks remain open, but Bank of America will be closed for Columbus Day. It’s best to call your local branch to check their hours.

Go figure…
