CA Man Punches Agent In Face, Gets Carjacking Charge
HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A 22-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for carjacking after allegedly assaulting a repo company employee and taking a vehicle during a repossession dispute, officials said.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at about 6:46 p.m. in the 15800 block of Cashew Street.
According to a written statement from Mara Rodriguez, spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a tow company was in the process of repossessing a vehicle registered to Camron Manning.
Two employees from the company were on scene, each in separate vehicles.
During the confrontation, Manning allegedly punched one of the tow company employees, an adult male, twice in the face.
Manning then entered the vehicle and drove it onto the property at the incident location.
“Manning closed a gate at the location and blocked the vehicle from being retrieved by the tow employee,” stated Rodriguez.
Deputies responded and arrested Manning. He was booked for PC 215(a) – Carjacking.
Rodriguez confirmed that Manning is no longer in custody and was released on bail.
