SC Man Wanted For Repo Assault

GREENWOOD COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A man is wanted in connection with a vehicle repossession incident in April.

Terence Baker is wanted for breaking into a motor vehicle, malicious injury to real property less than $2,000, and assault and battery third degree, deputies said.

The charges stem from an incident on Apr. 16, 2026. Deputies said they responded to a call on Ashcroft Drive involving a vehicle repossession.

During the altercation, Baker attempted to stop the repossession. He forced his way into the vehicle and locked the door, pushing an individual out of the way. Baker damaged the controller while lowering the vehicle down by pulling on it and damaged the vehicle, according to deputies.

Deputies report Baker yelled for someone to go inside the residence and retrieve a firearm. A juvenile came out of the house with a firearm and ran back inside appearing to still have the firearm.

Authorities believe Baker is still in the area.

Anyone with information on Baker’s whereabouts is asked to call the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office at (864) 942-8622 or 911.
