Bama Cop Denied Delay In Repo Shooting Trial
A former Decatur police officer accused of murder is still set to go on trial in September.
Mac Marquette is accused of murdering Steve Perkins at his home back in 2023 during an attempted truck repossession.
Marquette claims he was acting within his rights as a police officer and should be granted immunity.
The Alabama state Supreme Court heard oral arguments on this back in January.
Marquette filed a motion to continue his trial yesterday since a ruling on that has not yet been issued.
A judge denied that motion.
Marquette is set to stand trial on September 21.
