2 Nebraska Agents Charged For Flashing Badges

LINCOLN, Neb. – Lincoln Police cited two men who claimed to be police officers and repossession agents and followed a woman when she tried to drive away.

LPD said on February 19 around 6 p.m, a 40-year-old woman reported she was sitting in her vehicle waiting to pick up a friend near 16th and B streets when she was approached by two men.

The victim told police the men told her they needed to look at the VIN on her vehicle, and she said no and drove away.

According to LPD the men then pulled alongside her, displayed badges and claimed to be police officers.

The victim was able to get a license plate number, and call authorities.

The two men met with police, but denied claiming to be officers. They also told police they were attempting to repossess a Chevrolet Trailblazer, but the woman was driving a Tahoe.

Both men had circle badges that stated “repossession agent,” police said.

Justin Leisure, 37, and Danny Foster, 65, were both cited for disturbing the peace.
