STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – A Struthers man is due in court on Tuesday, charged with running down two others with his car.
William Johns-Deal is now in the Mahoning County Jail.
Police say Johns-Deal, who wasn’t wearing pants, jumped into his car and tried to drive away as a man was trying to repossess it on Sunday morning. In the process, he hit two men with the vehicle before continuing to speed away, according to a police report.
Officers managed to catch the suspect after a brief chase. Reports say he told officers, “I just didn’t want them to take my car.”
He’s now charged with felonious assault and failure to comply.
