Alabama Repossessor Shot At Gas Station
BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBMA) — A shooting has happened during a repossession at a Birmingham gas station.
At approximately 1:20 p.m., the Birmingham Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter notification near 50th St. and Richard Arlington Junior Blvd., North. On arrival, they observed shell casings on the ground at that location.
Moments later, Birmingham West Precinct officers responded to a call of a a person wounded at Fire Station 16 in Ensley.
According to investigators, the victim was repossessing the stolen vehicle on the 4600 block of 12th Ave. North, when he was shot at by a unknown vehicle. The man was followed by the suspect who continued to fire shots. The victim was shot and he drove to Fire Station 16.
He was transported to a local hospital. Birmingham Police say his injury was non-life threatening.
The victim has not been identified, but BPD says individuals have been detained for questioning.
