Alabama RO Opens Fire On Agents, No Injuries
PELL CITY, Ala. — A shooting incident unfolded around midnight on Chula Vista Drive in Pell City during the repossession of a vehicle, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.
Two men, armed with repossession orders, arrived at a residence to reclaim a vehicle. As they departed with the vehicle, the owner emerged from the residence and opened fire, striking the occupied tow truck.
The victims promptly reported the incident, and the St. Clair County Criminal Investigation Division arrived on the scene to investigate.
Allen Lane Thomas, a 79-year-old man from Pell City, was arrested at the scene. He faces charges of two counts of attempted murder and two counts of shooting into an occupied vehicle. Thomas is currently held in the St. Clair County Jail in Pell City with a bond set at $180,000.
