Alaska Man Kidnapped To Release Repossessed Vehicle

Two people, Marcus Sparger and Alexandra Perdomo, have been charged with kidnapping, assault, robbery, and vehicle theft after allegedly forcing a 45-year-old man at gunpoint to drive them from Anchorage to Palmer, Alaska to retrieve a repossessed vehicle. The man was found safe after police were alerted and intercepted the suspects.

Violent crimes like kidnapping for ransom are extremely serious offenses that can traumatize victims and disrupt community safety. This case highlights the need for law enforcement vigilance and effective prosecution to deter such criminal behavior.

According to court documents, Sparger and Perdomo went to the victim’s home in Anchorage, confronted him with an AR-15 style rifle, and forced him to drive them to Palmer to retrieve a repossessed white GMC Yukon. The victim said the suspects threatened to harm him if he did not comply. Police were alerted and intercepted the suspects at a Fred Meyer store in Palmer, where they safely recovered the victim and detained Sparger. Perdomo had earlier left the scene in the victim’s Dodge Nitro, but was later stopped and arrested.
