CA Man Pulls Firearm On Agent Post Repo

Victorville — A 20-year-old resident of Apple Valley was arrested early Friday morning after allegedly confronting a repossession tow truck driver and pointing a firearm at him, according to authorities.

The incident occurred on Friday, February 13, 2026, at approximately 12:49 a.m. in the 15600 block of Roy Rogers Drive in Victorville.

According to San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Jenny L. Smith, a repossession driver had removed a vehicle from the area and then stopped a short distance away to contact dispatch and report the completed recovery.

While making that call, the driver was reportedly approached by Aaron Ramirez, who arrived in a separate vehicle. Authorities say Ramirez exited his vehicle, retrieved a firearm, and pointed it at the tow truck operator.

The driver advised Ramirez that he was working for a repossession company, at which point the suspect allegedly put the weapon away.

Deputies responded to the scene and arrested Ramirez on suspicion of violating California Penal Code 245(a)(2) — assault with a firearm.

Jail records show Ramirez is charged with assault with a firearm on a person. He is scheduled to appear at Victorville Superior Court on February 18, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. in Department NF. Bail was set at $140,000.

No injuries were reported. The investigation remains ongoing.
