NC Man Killed During Repossession
WHITEVILLE — A Robeson County man has been shot and killed as he was trying to repossess a vehicle.
Columbus County Sheriff’s Maj. Bobby Worley said the shooting happened early Tuesday near Whiteville.
The victim was 37-year-old David Lowe of Orrum. Worley said Lowe died at the scene from a gunshot wound to the head.
Two men have been arrested and charged with murder.
Fifty-one-year-old William Roy Kohler and his son, 18-year-old William Roy Kohler III also are charged with firing a gun into an occupied vehicle.
No one else was hurt.
An autopsy on Lowe’s body is scheduled Wednesday in Raleigh.
