Repo Agent Shot In Memphis, Again
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WREG)— A tow truck driver was shot while repossessing a vehicle in Highland Heights early Wednesday morning, police say.
Police say it happened on Treadwell Street a little before 4 a.m., where two men with a towing company were loading up a Lincoln MKZ.
They told the woman who owned that Lincoln that she could get her belongings out of the vehicle. She went back inside her house while the men maneuvered the vehicle onto their truck, police said.
That’s when police say the woman came back outside with a purse. When she was told she could not get back in her vehicle, she allegedly said, “I’m going to kill you.”
About two rounds were fired from what looked like a handgun, police said.
The men jumped back in their tow truck and drove away. One of the men noticed he was bleeding and realized he had been shot.
Police say the woman was detained. She has not been identified by the police.
The victim in the tow truck was taken to Regional One in non-critical condition.
