Only 6 Months For VA RO Who Fired Shots At Agent
WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) — It is six months in prison for the Waynesboro man who admitted to firing shots at a tow truck driver.
Derek Ray Breeden reached a deal with prosecutors last month and pleaded guilty to a pair of misdemeanor charges, including assault and battery.
A judge then sentenced the 45-year-old Breeden to a year in prison with six months suspended during a hearing Friday morning in Augusta County Circuit Court.
The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office had stated that Breeden fired several rounds at the driver of a wrecker who was attempting to repossess his pickup truck in September of 2023.
