Paralyzed Repo Buzz Member Asks For Our Help
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A mid-south man was shot during a repossession in Memphis nearly eight years ago that left him paralyzed from the chest down. Now he is asking for the communities’ help.
Scotty Arnold, 33, is a single father to three children. In October 2012, he was shot while working. The bullet was lodged into his spine, and doctors were not able to remove it.
As a single father, adjusting over the years has been an obstacle.
Arnold recently found a wheelchair accessible Chevy Silverado for $24K. He’s asking for donations in hopes that he can come up with a down payment.
“Normally, I’d hate to ask for help but with encouragement from friends and family. I’ve decided to at least try and come up with a down payment. I would be highly appreciative and very thankful for your help in any way possible,” Arnold posted on Facebook.
All funds will go towards Arnold getting a vehicle that is specifically designed for wheelchair-bound individuals.
