Texas ARP Hosts Successful Annual Members Meeting

Austin, TX – On Friday, March 28, the Texas Association of Repossession Professionals (Texas ARP) held its Annual Members Meeting in Austin, bringing together industry professionals, and experts for a day of valuable insights, discussions, and networking.

Expert Speakers and Industry Insights

 Attendees had the opportunity to hear from distinguished industry leaders, covering critical topics affecting the profession:

    •    Andy Cameron, Executive Vice President of DRN and MVTrac, and Ryan Medina, VP of Vendor Management for MVTrac and SCM, discussed ongoing industry changes and reaffirmed their support for Texas ARP.

    •    Gordon Martens of Martens Law provided valuable insights on Texas Sales Tax and Use, helping members navigate compliance and regulations.

    •    Donny Seyfer from NASTF addressed the group with key updates on their technological advancements.

    •    Billie Jo Stoddard, CEO of Royal Key Supply, introduced attendees to their universal key generator, highlighting its benefits and applications.

    •    Mike Peplinski and John Pollard of Harding Brooks led an informative discussion on Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) and the key differences between W-2 and 1099 employees.

Representatives from Primeritus and Location Services were also in attendance, contributing to the discussion and networking opportunities.

Board Elections and Leadership Updates

 

The current board members were re-elected for another term, ensuring stability and continued leadership within Texas ARP. Additionally, James Waldron was nominated and elected as Legislative Chair, taking on a key role in advocating for the industry’s interests.
