27 Shots Fired At Random Tow Truck In Maryland
This morning the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) responded to a shooting involving multiple suspects and a tow truck driver overnight in Montgomery Village. This afternoon we heard from the driver of the tow truck. Photos of some of the damage can be seen below.
The tow truck driver recounted the events, stating, “It was 5 shooters, they looked like kids. It had nothing to do with towing– they just saw me and started shooting, 27 shots, 10 feet away. I did not get hit once, thank God.”
According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 2:34 a.m. on the 18000 block of Lost Knife Circle. Officers reported that an adult male operating a tow truck was targeted. The suspects approached the vehicle and fired multiple shots before leaving the scene. The victim was not injured.
Montgomery County Police confirmed that the investigation is still active and ongoing.
