Ga. RO Arrested For Repo Hit & Run
Lamont Jerry Saunders, 38, of Marietta, is accused of attempting to drive his vehicle after it was hooked onto a repossession truck on Jan. 4 at 1:30 a.m. at an apartment at 825 Powder Springs Street in Marietta in The Belaire apartment complex, according to an arrest warrant from the Marietta Police Department.
Saunders damaged the repossession truck and struck two other vehicles in the parking spots next to him. He then left the scene. When he was ordered by police to come out of his house and show his hands, he refused, according to the warrant.
Saunders is charged with obstruction/hindering law enforcement; reckless driving; two counts of driving – hit and run; and criminal damage – second degree. He was arrested on Jan. 4 at 1:49 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records.
Saunders remains in custody on a $5,000 bond.
