Houston Woman Shot In Neck During Repo

HOUSTON – A woman, who was repossessing a vehicle, was shot in the neck late Wednesday night.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. along Westheimer Road and Joel Wheaton Road on Houston’s West Side.

Houston Police said the woman and man were repossessing a car from an apartment complex. While the woman was driving the repossessed vehicle, the suspects followed the vehicle, pulled along side and fired several shots at the car, hitting the woman in the back of the neck.

She pulled into a gas station and called her male companion for help. The suspects and the companion both pulled into the gas station parking lot. The companion confronted the two suspects saying that they’re repossessing the car. They said “No you’re not.”

When the suspects realized that the woman was shot in the neck, they drove off.

The woman was flown by Life Flight to a nearby hospital. She is in critical condition, but is expected to survive.

Police said they believe they know who the identify of the suspects.

The investigation is ongoing.
