Ohio R.O. Fights Agents, Takes Repo From Lot

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A pair of men who were repossessing a car early Friday told police they got the vehicle — then had it taken from them.

Police were called about 12:55 a.m. to a home in the 800 block of Ridge Avenue, where the men said they had repossessed an SUV and had it towed back to their lot on Glenwood Avenue.

Once there, a man approached them and said he wanted to take the SUV back and would make a payment “tomorrow.” The man then became irate, punched one of the repo men, slammed him to the ground, took the SUV and drove away, according to a police report.

The two men got in their own vehicle and chased the SUV while calling 911, but lost it, and went back to Ridge Avenue to speak to police. The men reported that they had a GPS tracker on the vehicle that tracked to an address on the North Side.

Police went to that address and could not find the SUV, reports said.
