Texas Agent Shot In Leg Post-Repo
Arlington police responded to a shooting call Tuesday night around 9:20 p.m. in a parking lot located in the 2100 block of South Collins Street. A man who thought his car was being stolen shot a repossession agent in the leg after he saw his car being moved, according to a police news release.
Police said they found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim had repossessed an SUV just before the shooting and had pulled into the parking lot to file his report when a man in another vehicle approached him, police said. “During the exchange, the owner of the SUV pulled out a gun and shot the victim,” Arlington police told the Star-Telegram.
According to police, the owner of the vehicle told them that he thought his car was being stolen and said he saw the man reaching for something in his waistband. Police said they recovered guns from both the shooter and the repo man. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrest have been made.
