Texas R.O. Charged For Stealing Repossessed Unit
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — A man was arrested for theft of a vehicle that was awaiting auction in Northeast El Paso, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
On June 18, deputies responded to the 14400 block of Cassidy Drive regarding a reported stolen vehicle, which officials said had been repossessed and was awaiting auction.
Throughout the investigation, deputies made contact with a male suspect, 21-year-old Donovan Acklin, who was reported to be the vehicle’s previous owner.

Deputies located the stolen vehicle at an apartment complex at the 13500 block of Eastlake on June 23.
Detectives found that Acklin had unlawfully entered the property before taking the vehicle, and Acklin later admitted to stealing it.
On June 25, detectives obtained arrest warrants charging Acklin with criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and theft of property involving a motor vehicle.
Acklin was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. His bond was set at $60,000.
