Woman Shoots At Repossessor At South Of The Border Attraction
DILLON COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at a popular attraction.
Authorities were called around 11 a.m. Thursday to the South of the Border along Highway 301 in Hamer.
Capt. Allen Rogers said a person tried to repossess a woman’s car at a different location, and she drove to the South of the Border location. Rogers added that person who was trying to repossess her car followed her to the attraction and that’s when she grabbed a gun from a different car and started shooting.
Authorities said no one was hurt in the shooting.
They said that the woman was arrested and taken to the Dillon County Detention Center, but her name has not been released.

A repo company followed a women from North Carolina to South of the Border, where she stopped at a Sunoco gas station, according to deputies.
The repo men approached the woman and were able to repo her vehicle, but she climbed into their car and found a firearm, according to authorities. She then began firing at the men.
Jackie Chestnut, store clerk, says she was working inside when shots rang out.
“I thought I was going to lose my life today. I tried to look out for my coworkers. You know let’s get to the back. Quick thinking, I’m thankful to South of the Border security for getting here as fast as they did and for Dillon County Sheriff’s to get here as fast as they did,” Chestnut said.
There have been no reported injuries, and the woman was taken to the Dillon County Detention Center.
