Memphis Agent Grazed By Bullet During Repossession

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police say a tow truck driver was grazed by a bullet while attempting to repossess a vehicle Wednesday evening in South Memphis. Police were called to the 2300 block of Warren Street for a report of a shooting just after 6 p.m. The tow truck driver told police he was loading a 2007 Lexus onto his truck when an unknown man ran out of a house and demanded that the man get the vehicle off the truck. “If you don’t drop the car, I’m going to pop your ***,” he said as he pointed a silver and black handgun at the victim, according to police. The driver put his vehicle in drive and tried to get away, but police say the suspect fired five shots at him. One shot grazed his calf, but he was not seriously injured. The suspect then jumped a fence and ran away. He hadn’t been located when police filed their report.
