BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — According to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification, all TitleMax locations in California will permanently close by May 1, 2020.
The loan agency, which has a location in Bakersfield on Chester Avenue, will “stagger” its closures starting April 1, 2020, according to the WARN letter. The stores are expected to keep its workforce employed up until each location’s closing date. According to the letter, the Bakersfield location’s closure will impact a total of three employees.
